The academy model and working is developed purely on volunteer participation. All the coaches and office bearers work on an honorary basis. JFHA was started with only two volunteers and presently has a volunteer base of 45.

Volunteers help in the overall functioning of the organization, actively performing the day-to-day work of the academy including conducting hockey training, event management and fund raising.
