  • Jan 2020: JFHA was felicitated as One of Apollo Tyres 'Go The Distance Heroes’; for having been displaying the highest standards of ethical conduct, integrity, and social responsibility and positively impacting the Indian sporting ecosystem.

  • October 2019: JFHA Seniors WON Decathlon Hockey Tournament.
  • August 2019: JFHA Seniors WON the Dhyanchand 6 ‘A’ Side tournament at Mussorie (Uttarakhand) organized as part of National Sports Day.
  • May 2019: Noel Robinson,Govindraj and Suresh represented Bengaluru Hockey Association Team in the All India Tournament at Kovilpatti (Tamil Nadu):WINNERS
  • May 2019: Rajendra ,Teja represented Canara Bank Hockey Team in the All India Tournament at Kovilpatti (Tamil Nadu)
  • Feb to May 2019: Rajendra represented Racing Club France in the French National Elite League.
  • Feb 2019: JFHA Seniors secured 3rd place in the Deva Memorial State level tournament. Noel Robinson was awarded “Player of the Tournament”.
  • Jan 2019: Rajendra represented Hockey Karnataka in the Senior Nationals held at Gwalior.
  • Jan 2019: Govindaraj represented Bengaluru Hockey Association in the Junior Nationals held at Jabalpur 4th Place.

ACHIEVEMENTS: 2018

  • July 2018: Noel Robinson was awarded “Emerging Potential Player”, represented Canara Bank Hockey Team which won the state level D S Murthy memorial tournament.
  • July 2018: Suresh V, has been selected for the Center of Excellence, Sports Authority of India, Bengaluru.
  • July 2018: Toilets for Girls has been built within the St Mary’s orphanage compound with funding from Ladies Circle, Round Table Bengaluru.
  • May 2018: New partnership with Olympians Association of India has started.
  • May 2018: Abhigail V, 10 Years,a talented girl coming from a economically weak and broken family has been selected for educational scholarship and training from JFHA.
  • April 2018: Mr Jude Felix Coached the Indian Team Juniors to qualify for the 2018 Youth Olympics to be held at Buenos Aires, Argentina. The team won the qualifying tournament at Bangkok.
  • April 2018: JFHA seniors were awarded “Emerging Private Club “in the State level Travancore Hockey tournament.
  • April 2018: Suresh, Govindaraj won the Junior National B division Championship held at Bhopal by representing Hockey Karnataka. Noel Robinson represented Hockey Coorg and finished 3rd .Sumathi represented Hockey Bengaluru.
  • March 2018: Rajendra, Noel Robinson and Teja J have been selected to represent Hockey Karnataka Seniors in the Seniors ‘A’ Division Nationals to be held at Lucknow from March 15th to March 25th 2018.
  • January 2018: Noel Robinson and Teja J, represented Canara Bank Hockey team in the State level Hockey tournament.

ACHIEVEMENTS: 2017

  • December 2017: JFHA Seniors finished Runners in Bengaluru Hockey Association league and qualified for the ‘A’ Division.
  • November 2017: Mr Verghese K J, our Trustee and Coach created history by Winning the 2nd, 5 ‘A’ Side Hockey Senior Nationals, Pune as Coach for the Hockey Karnataka team
  • October 2017: Holland meets Bangalore, CSR sports event was organized in association with the Embassy of Netherlands.
  • August 2017: Praveen C, was admitted to Bachelor Of Engineering (Mechanical) course.
  • August 2017: We organized the District Level Hockey tournament for the Department of Public Instructions, Govt.of Karnataka.
  • July 2017: We started training the St Francis Xavier’s Girls School Hockey Team.
  • July 2017: Kelley School of Business, Indiana University U S, visited JFHA for the 6th year
  • July 2017: Rajendra has been selected by Centre of Excellence, SAI, Govt.Of India, Bengaluru.
  • July 2017: We partnered with Maria Niketan School to organize the Taluk Level Hockey tournament for schools.
  • June 2017: Mr. Jude Felix is the Coach for the Junior India team in preparation for the 2021 Junior World Cup.
  • June 2017: Mr. Verghese K J and Mr.Ronald Kiran our trustee/volunteer coached the Hockey Karnataka and Hockey Bengaluru teams respectively at the 2017 Senior Nationals held at Lucknow.
  • June 2017: Suresh V has been called for the selections of National Hockey Academy, at New Delhi.
  • May 2017: Rajendra was elected as one of the probable for the Junior Indian Team.
  • April 2017: Suresh V represented Hockey Karnataka in the Sub Junior Nationals held at Bengaluru.
  • April 2017: Saraswathi Bhandary and Sumathi represented Hockey Bengaluru in the Junior Nationals held at Bhopal.
  • Mar 2017: High performance training workshop was conducted for our volunteers by top Trainers from Network8.
  • Mar 2017: Rajendra represented Bangalore University in the All India Universities at New Delhi.
  • Jan 2017: Saraswathi Bhandary represented Hockey Karnataka in the Sub Junior Nationals.

ACHIEVEMENTS: 2016

  • 2016: Rajendra represented Bharat Petroleum and Canara Bank Hockey teams in the All India Tournaments. He also represented Bangalore University and Junior State Team.
  • August 2016: JFHA Sr. boys team won the 1st edition if the AM Deveraj Memorial Hockey Tournament 2016. Rajendra was awarded the Best Midfielder and Suresh was awarded the Player Of The Tournament.
  • July 2016: Kelley School of Business, Indiana University U S, visited JFHA for the 5th year.
  • July 2016: JFHA in association with Bovelander Hockey Academy, conducted High Performance Coaching Course.
  • July 2016: Maria Niketan Boys and Girls won the Taluk level Hockey tournament.
  • June 2016: JFHA BOYS and Girls participated in the All India tournament at Ananthpur(A P),conducted by Rural Development Trust.JFHA Senior Boys finished Runners in the Tournament.
  • June 2016, Govindaraj is representing Hockey Karnataka in the sub junior being held at Imphal (Manipur).
  • May 2016, four of our trainees represented Karnataka state in the Junior Nationals.
  • April 2016, in partnership with Bovelander Hockey Academy, Netherlands and One Million Hockey Legs we have launched one more training center at Dharmapuri (T N).

ACHIEVEMENTS: 2015

  • July 4, 2015: Maria Niketan Under -14 Boys won the Allan MacBride Interschool hockey tournament.
  • July 2015: Maria Niketan Boys and Girls won the Taluk level Hockey tournament. Junior Boys finished second in their category.
  • May 17, 2015: JFHA volunteers participated in the 2015 TCS 10 K Bangalore Marathon.
  • JFHA has continued to support 8 JFHA senior players to pursue their education.
  • Noel Robinson was awarded Best Forward in the State Level D S Murthy Memorial Tournament during May 2015. 
  • April-May 2015 and 2014: We conducted two summer camps for about 100 community children along with children of St Mary's Orphanage. Children experienced coaching by Current, Former International players, Coaches and Technical Official's. Also sessions by Nutritionists and Physical Fitness Experts.
  • Rajendra M & John Bosco played in the Kolkatta Senior League during March 2015. 
  • In February, JFHA seniors have participated in the State 'B' Division league, State Level tournaments and All India tournament at Ananthpur. 
  • February 22 2015: JFHA 'AwareNActive' 25 Hockey Girls ran the Pinkathon. The run was sponsored by SBI.
  • "Aware N Active" Girls program launched during from January 2015 with support from employees of Fiberlink Software Pvt Ltd, Bangalore.

ACHIEVEMENTS: 2014

  • Two more water purifiers, 150 liters per hour has been donated by JFHA to St Mary’s Home in the month of December 2014.
  • State Bank of India, Head Office, Bangalore donated a 40 seater Bus to the Academy during November 2014.
  • 4th JFHA Interschool Hockey Tournament was conducted successfully during Nov 2014.
  • Maria Niketan High School represented by JFHA trainees finished 2nd in the 4th JFHA Interschool Hockey Tournament.
  • Mr. Bhaskaran, Captain 1980 Moscow Olympics Gold Medal, inspected the Academy as representative of Hockey India, on 27 August 2014.
  • Kelley School of Business, Indiana USA, visited the academy during August 2014.
  • Maria Niketan High School represented by JFHA trainees won the Taluk level and District level tournaments for 2014.
  • Maria Niketan Primary School finished second at the Taluk level and two boys Prashanth and Rueben represented the Bangalore District team.
  • JFHA Senior Boys WON the 'C' Division State League Hockey Title for 2014 and finished second in the M G Aiyappa Memorial Tournament.
  • Players and volunteers participated in 2014 TCS 10 K Bangalore Marathon on 18th May.
  • April-May 2014 and 2013: We conducted two summer camps for about 85 community children along with children of St Mary's Orphanage. Children experienced coaching by Current, Former International players, Coaches and Technical Official's. Also sessions by Nutritionists and Physical Fitness Experts.

ACHIEVEMENTS: 2013

  • 3rd JFHA Dreamworld India interschool tournament was conducted during November 2013.
  • In August 2013, we partnered with Children's Movement for Civic Awareness (CMCA) to benefit our children.
  • Since August 2013, Social Audit to study the impact assessment of JFHA is in progress; under the guidance of Centre for Social Initiative and Management (CSIM).
  • State Bank of India, Head office, donated Rs 100,000/- during the month of July 2013.
  • Mr. Jude Felix was awarded a trophy by State Bank of India, for his work towards social service.
  • In July 2013, Maria Niketan School Juniors secured 2nd place in the Taluk level tournament.
  • On May 19, 2013, our volunteers and Swiss Re employees participated in the charity run of TCS World 10K Marathon, Bangalore with the sole aim to generate funds to enable 70 more children of St Mary's to play Hockey
  • In February 2013, Malaysian Junior National Team (Project 2013) visited our academy and had a friendly game with our senior team.
  • In February 2013 we organized a fun hockey tournament for the employees of Swiss Re Shared Services Pvt ltd., who have also partnered JFHA to support the cause.
  • JFHA seniors participated in the All India Tournament conducted at Anantpur (A P) by rural Development Trust ,during February 2013

ACHIEVEMENTS: 2009-2012

  • Maria Niketan School Seniors participated in the schools tournaments conducted by Hockey Karnataka, Taluk level and by Rotary Club
  • In the Rotary Club tournament 3 of our players won awards: Noel Romario - Most Valuable Player, Govindraj - Best Centre Forward and Teja - Best Goalkeeper.
  • Our Academy has become a platform for differently-abled children to participate in Hockey and build their overall confidence.
  • There is an increased participation by the boys and girls of the community in our daily and week end trainings.
  • Player's participation improved over the years and has an attendance of 95% on a day to day basis.
  • Over the years our training methodology has improved with continuous efforts and work by the coaching team. More efforts have been made to involve children between the age group of 7 to 9 years, not forgetting that children are tested and trained in their life skills, which is more relevant for their overall development.
  • We have received many requests by schools, homes and other NGO's to establish JFHA Hockey Centers.
  • With help from our donors we have donated a water purifier to St Mary's which will cater to the water needs for 180 children.
  • We conducted the 2nd JFHA-South United Interschool Hockey Tournament from Nov 7 to Nov 10 2012.
  • Rajendra represented the Karnataka State Sub Junior team in the Nationals and South Zone Nationals (WINNERS).
  • Another milestone was achieved in June 2012, when Joshua and Arvind from the academy got selected by Sports Authority of India.
  • Our players who represent Maria Niketan School won the Taluk Level Tournament in July 2012.
  • Our players representing Maria Niketan School won the Bangalore District Level Tournament in August 2012.
  • JFHA Junior players represented Maria Niketan School and won the Allan Macbride Memorial Inter School Tournament in August 2012.
  • Noel Robinson was awarded 'The Most Valuable Player' of the 2012 G S Randhawa Memorial Inter School Hockey tournament held during August 2012.
  • Noel Robin was awarded the 'Most Promising Player' in the tournament conducted by Germains Old Boys Association, 2011.
  • Rajendra was awarded the 'Best Forward Award' in the G S Randhawa Memorial inter schools tournament 2011.
